Mylene-29-webMs. Ansari has over 20 years’ experience as an attorney, mediator and arbitrator who understands the nuances of the legal system. She focuses on family law, divorce, custody, parenting plans, property, support disputes, business disputes, real estate and insurance disputes. Ms. Ansari is a court panel mediator for the San Mateo courts. She has been in private practice for over five years. Ms. Ansari draws on years of experience as in house counsel for a local real estate development company and as a lead attorney for the California Department of Insurance to promote effective communication and increased understanding between parties in conflict.

Ms. Ansari has mediated and arbitrated over 100 cases and has completed over 400 hours of alternative dispute resolution training. In mediations, she engages all parties to help them achieve better resolutions than would be obtained in court. She believes that beyond exploring apparent issues, it is often necessary to explore underneath the surface of a dispute to reach meaningful and lasting resolution. After eliciting and clarifying each side’s positions, she identifies further interests and concerns of each party. As she orients clients toward resolution or settlement , she encourages real cost-benefit analysis alternatives to litigation.

Ms. Ansari has been in private practice for over five years handling primarily family law, divorce, custody and support matters. She empathizes with clients in vulnerable and stressful situations . She has worked with Fortune 500 companies in both state and federal courts. As lead State Attorney at the California Department of Insurance, Ms. Ansari handled property and casualty insurance litigation, insurance claims handling, corporate compliance, coverage and related disputes. She also has over ten years practice in general civil litigation, administrative law and procedure and has collaborated with industry, government, and consumer groups in developing consumer protection regulations.
